IWE humming noise. Okay so I have a 2015 f150 2.7l with about 38000 miles. After about 5 to 10 minutes of driving I can hear the vacuum make a pop and short hiss sound then the front driver side humming noise. I have replaced the IWE actuator this past weekend, the check valve and solenoid.The noise COULD be the teeth grinding. If they theeth are grinding then the IWE will need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the vacuum system should be checked for proper operation before replacing any parts. Also, you do not need to be in 4x4 with the solenoid disconnected.Jul 17, 2020 ...
